This was the view from the flightline at Falcon Field looking east. The superstition mountains are dusted in white. Winds were 10 gusting to 21 when Tom and Katie Velvick took off in their RV-4, luckily the winds were almost straight down the runway.

It was getting a lot more turbulent up close to
the mountains so we stayed on the upwind side and made a big loop
back to Deer Valley Airport.
After we had got back home, we saw a message on the Yahoo Group AZ RV list from Sheldon Barrett AZ_RVList Message Re [AZ_RVList] Snow in Arizona in St. Johns saying that he had got nearly two feet of snow at his place!
